I would like some support

Your midwife or other professional who is working with you may ask you if you would like support from our service.

They will talk you about the services available in Blackpool to support families and ask your consent before they ask for support for you.  If you have read this section and think you would like support and it has not yet been offered to you, please talk to your midwife or go to one of the Family Hubs who will be able to help you make a request for support.   The Early Parenthood service is one of the range of services that are available as part of the Family Hub offer to families

What Happens Next?

Your request for support will be considered by representatives from the services on offer to Families in pregnancy and with children up to the age of two, including an Early Parenthood Nurse, Midwife and Early Help worker.  This is to ensure the service offered to you is the right one for you.

The person making the request for support on your behalf, will inform you of the outcome and what service has been suggested.   A worker from that service will then contact you to arrange a first meeting where you can find out more about the service that has been suggested.

If you have children over the age of two and would like support with them, please do go into your nearest Family Hub.  They will be able to talk to you about the support you would like and signpost you as to the appropriate places and services.
