Your first telephone consultation with the Dietitian will last about half an hour and the Dietitian will be in a quiet, private room to ensure confidentiality.
You are welcome to have a friend or relative with you on speaker phone, especially if they do most of the cooking or shopping or if their support is important to you.
If your telephone appointment is not suitable, please contact us to either rearrange or cancel. This will allow us to offer the appointment to someone else and help reduce our waiting lists.
If you do not attend your telephone appointment without letting us know, you will be discharged from our service. Your referrer and GP will be informed.
The Department of Nutrition and Dietetics trains students and there may be occasions where a Student Dietitian is present at your telephone appointment. If you would prefer them not to be present, please feel free to tell us.
