We know that meeting new people or going to new places isn’t always easy, but please don’t worry!
Sometimes our Speech and Language Therapists will ask you to come to one of our clinics with a parent/carer and sometimes we might come and see you in school.
We are all very friendly and want to find out how we can help you.
We will probably need to have a chat with your parent/carer (or a teacher if we see you in school) first, but most importantly we will want to chat to you! If you can tell us about the things you are good at and the things you find tricky, that is really helpful. If you can’t tell us yourself, that’s fine too, we can talk to the adults who help you.
We might just have a chat, or we might play some games together, we might also have some tasks to do together so that we can work out how best to help you.
If you’re worried about your appointment have a look at this ‘story’ with an adult before we see you.
