Opportunity to lead Trust as ‘inspirational’ Non-Executive Directors

Blackpool Teaching Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust is seeking inspiring people to join its board as Non-Executive Directors.

The Trust provides acute and community health services to residents and visitors to Blackpool, Fylde, Wyre and North Lancashire, supporting up to 1.6million people living in the county and South Cumbria.

It is seeking two new Non-Executive Directors to join and strengthen the board and ‘provide inspirational insights to tackle future projects and challenges.’

The Trust’s Board of Directors plays a vital role in the running of the organisation. Members have a corporate responsibility to uphold, safeguard and promote the Trust’s values, particularly relating to ethics, integrity and social responsibility.

It ensures that the Trust operates effectively, efficiently and economically, and consists of 15 Directors including eight voting Non-Executive Directors (including the Chairman), and five voting Executive Directors (including the Chief Executive), plus two non-voting Executive Directors.

Candidates must be able to demonstrate strong clinical or finance / audit / business leadership experience.
