Welcome to ThrivewithBTH
We are proud of our staff and the work that takes place across the organisation to help staff to Thrive both in and outside of the workplace. Evidence highlights the importance of supporting staff to lead healthy and well balanced lifestyles and the strong link a happy and healthy workforce can have on health outcomes for patients and visitors.
#ThrivewithBTH launched on the 1st May 2019 and aims to encompass all health and wellbeing activities and initiatives that help our staff to be well and lead a lifestyle that makes them happy.
A number of interventions and initiatives have already taken place over the last 4 years to promote and support staff to improve their own health and wellbeing through the Healthier Workforce Project. #ThrivewithBTH is an extension of that project that will incorporate an organisational approach to supporting staff to improve their health and wellbeing whether through activities that promote staff to;
- Be physically active
- Eat Well and drink well
- Be mindful
- Quit smoking
And will support other work-streams such as the Great Place to Work.
Over the last four years staff have engaged greatly in supporting and shaping the health and wellbeing programme and offering across Blackpool Teaching Hospitals. We are determined to continue to build on all of this good work and have lots of new activities planned for this year to encourage our staff to be as healthy and happy as they can be.
As of the 1st May 2019 information on activities can be picked up from the Thrive display board that will feature on the Mezzanine, BVH. It is here that you will also be able to leave your suggestions as to what you would like to see implemented that may improve your health and wellbeing.
