“My visitors will always be able to visit me flexibly and the staff will always support this.”

Wards 14, 15a and 15b at Blackpool Victoria Hospital are following in the footsteps of Wards 34 and 35 and have extended their visiting times.

From today, the wards have extended their visiting times to run between 2pm and 8pm.

We will be looking at how this is working over the next two months and gaining feedback to ensure that what matters to the staff, patients and visitors is at the heart of the project.

Leanne Macefield,  Patient Experience and Involvement Manager, said: “The vision is that the “bell of doom” is history as we step forward to the future 70 years of the NHS and the Trust becomes more flexible for visitors.

“We really hope this is well received and welcome all feedback.’’
