Blackpool Teaching Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust provided the following statement in response to the Lancashire Police announcement which can be seen here.
Kevin McGee, Chief Executive of Blackpool Teaching Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust, said: “We continue to work closely with Lancashire Police as part of their ongoing investigations and we are co-operating actively to assist them. The Trust continues to ensure patients are safe and I would seek to reassure families about the quality of care they can expect to receive in our hospital and community settings. This development has affected staff, particularly on the stroke unit itself and we continue to prioritise and provide help and support to them.’’
