May dates announced for vaccine bus visits

The vaccine bus is back in the Blackpool, Fleetwood and Poulton areas throughout May as part of the COVID-19 spring booster campaign.

Those who are eligible for the latest jab – including over-75s and people who are immunocompromised, such as cancer patients and organ transplant recipients – can climb aboard as the bus stops off at various locations around the town next month:

  • Tuesday 2 May – Affinity, Fleetwood (10am to 4pm)
  • Wednesday 3 May – Yeadon Way, Blackpool (12 noon to 6pm)
  • Thursday 4 May – Yeadon Way, Blackpool (12 noon to 6pm)
  • Friday 5 May – Yeadon Way, Blackpool (12 noon to 6pm)
  • Sunday 7 May – Civic Centre, Poulton (10am to 4pm)
  • Tuesday 9 May – Palatine Leisure Centre, Blackpool (10am to 4pm)
  • Wednesday 10 May – Yeadon Way, Blackpool (12 noon to 6pm)
  • Thursday 11 May – Yeadon Way, Blackpool (12 noon to 6pm)
  • Friday 12 May – Morrisons, Cleveleys (10am to 4pm)
  • Saturday 13 May – Morrisons, Squires Gate (10am to 4pm)
  • Sunday 14 May – Yeadon Way, Blackpool (12 noon to 6pm)
  • Tuesday 16 May – Lidl, Bloomfield Road (10am to 4pm)
  • Saturday 20 May – Red Lion, Bispham (10am to 4pm)
  • Sunday 21 May – Asda, Cherry Tree Road (10am to 4pm)
  • Monday 22 May – Affinity, Fleetwood (10am to 4pm)
  • Tuesday 23 May – Morrisons, Squires Gate (10am to 4pm)
  • Wednesday 24 May – Morrisons, Cleveleys (10am to 4pm)

People receiving their booster must ensure that the appointment takes place at least three months since their last dose.

Any adults still requiring their first and second doses of the COVID-19 vaccine are also encouraged to attend – though they must have their first dose by May 5 to ensure they get both doses before the cut-off date of 30 June.
