Join us for our Dementia Awareness Days!

Don’t forget to join us at our events this week as part of #DAW2017 #DementiaAwarenessWeek!

Tomorrow, May 18, Clifton Hospital will be hosting the latest Fylde Coast Dementia Hub, 10am-3pm. The event will be opened by comic and actor Bobby Ball and there will be a host of services offering help and advice.

Blackpool Victoria Hospital will be hosting a Dementia Awareness Day on Friday May 19, 11am-3pm. This event will be opened by AFC Fylde players and representatives. JLC Dance will be performing some 1950s inspired dancing throughout the day and Notarianni’s will be selling their delicious ice cream for a donation to the Peace of Mind Fund.

As well as a host of stalls from various services, volunteer Denys will be running Hospital History tours at 11.30 and 1.30 which covers the oldest parts of the building as well as a trip down the Memory Corridor.

Raffle tickets will also be on sale at both days for some fantastic local prizes with the money raised going to Blue Skies’ Peace of Mind Fund. The winners will be drawn at 3pm on Friday at Blackpool Victoria.

If you are visiting Blackpool Victoria tomorrow, the Restaurant will be serving a 1950s themed menu too, so don’t miss out!
