Join our trust charity for Walk The Lights in Blackpool tonight

There’s still time to register to raise funds for our Blue Skies Charity Fund at the Walk the Lights event in Blackpool tonight (Friday, October 7).

This is a five mile walk from Bispham to Starr Gate along Blackpool Promenade, taking in the fabulous Blackpool illuminations and starting at 7.30pm.

If you want to come along, make sure you arrive at the top of Red Bank Road before 7.30pm to meet the Blue Skies team and register. Look our for their blue t-shirts!

You’ll meet some new friends and help to raise money for the Blue Skies Charity Fund, your local charity supporting the patient care experience at Blackpool Teaching Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust.

Working with Rosemere Cancer Foundation, we’re raising money which will go towards funding additional equipment, research projects and all the things which make life easier when someone visits our healthcare sites.  We’re asking for a registration donation of £5 but would love it if you can raise any sponsorship or wish to make a personal donation.

The walk starts at Bispham Tram Station at the end of Red Bank Road, and ends at the Alexandra Home for the Blind on Bosworth Place, off Squires Gate Lane, where refreshments will be provided.  We’ve tried to make things a little easier by arranging free parking at the Alexandra Home for the Blind.  Please feel free to park there and get the tram to the starting point at Bispham.  If possible do bring your friends along and car share as space is limited.

For further information and to register please contact us on 01253 957381 or email blueskies@bfwh.nhs.uk.

We’d love to see you there so please come and introduce yourselves to the team at the registration point.  We can’t wait!
