Invitation to attend a free health seminar on Antibiotics at Blackpool Teaching Hospitals

MEMBERS of the public are invited to a free seminar by a leading Fylde coast consultant  looking at antibiotics and their use.

The session is the latest health seminar for members of Blackpool Teaching Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust

Dr Ruth Palmer, a Consultant Microbiologist at the Trust, will host the seminar which is entitled “Antibiotic use and abuse: Keeping Modern Medicine possible’’ on Monday, November 12, between 12noon and 1pm in the Education Centre Lecture Theatre at Blackpool Victoria Hospital.

Dr Palmer will be explaining what antibiotics are, how clinicians decide which to use and why it is important to be careful about their use.
