Members of the public are invited to attend the decision-making committee of Healthier Lancashire & South Cumbria which is set to hold its first formal meeting in public at Blackburn Cathedral on 2nd February 2016 at 1pm and will be independently chaired by Phil Watson CBE.
The Joint Committee of Clinical Commissioning Groups is responsible for making decisions about any future proposals which will be developed over the next four years as part of the Healthier Lancashire and South Cumbria programme. The programme joins together 33 NHS and local council organisations, along with third sector partners, to deliver the NHS Five Year Forward View vision of better health, better patient care and improved NHS efficiency.
The Joint Committee of Clinical Commissioning Groups is made up of GPs and Chairs from each of the nine Clinical Commissioning Groups in the region, along with leaders of Lancashire County Council, Blackburn with Darwen Council and Blackpool Council. The committee also includes representatives from district Councils along with local Healthwatch.
Members of the public are invited to attend the committee and 15 minutes will be allocated at the end of the meeting for an informal discussion and to respond to any questions.

BUS: From Blackburn Bus Station walk along Ainsworth Street alongside The Market. Cross the road towards the train station onto Railway Road and the Cathedral is on the right.
TRAIN: From the main train station, walk towards the town centre and the Cathedral is just beyond Cathedral Quarter.
Please use the main entrance to the Cathedral, from which the room will be signposted and volunteers will be available to guide you if necessary.
