November 18-25 is National HIV Testing Week.
Our dedicated team are inviting everyone to take a free HIV test in two events to be held on the mezzanine at Blackpool Victoria Hospital.
There will be lots of advice and information available plus give- aways including pens, key-rings and red ribbons.
One of the organisers of the event, HIV Specialist Associate Practitioner, Shane Faulkner, said: “We really want to stop the stigma of getting tested.
“We are encouraging visitors, patients and staff to get tested for HIV and we also can screen for Sexually Transmitted Infections. This is all completely confidential and staff will be on hand to offer advice and guidance.”
The events are being held on Tuesday, November 21 and Thursday November 23 from 9.00am -4.00pm.
Testing will also be available within the normal services at Moor Park Health Centre on Monday and South Shore Primary Care Centre on Friday.
