STAFF in the Emergency Department paid tribute to their volunteers at a special Christmas lunch.
All volunteers in the department were invited to attend the event to thank them for their support.
Matron, Sue Roberts, said: “Our volunteers provide an amazing service and we wanted to show them how grateful we are.
“They are our eyes and ears in many ways and help us support the patients and they are invaluable.
“They give up their time freely to help staff and patients and their roles are very demanding but they always help out with a smile and make a massive difference.
“They are always there to give us support and a smile and we really do appreciate everything they do.’’
