1). How many “clean rooms” exist within your ophthalmology units?
2). What proportion of ophthalmology 1st and follow-up outpatient appointments were associated with a diagnosis of
a. primary open angle glaucoma
b. age-related macular degeneration
c. diabetic macular oedema
3). How many SLT (selective laser trabeculoplasty) machines do you have in your ophthalmology units and how many procedures were performed in 2016/17 & 2017/18?
4). How many C69.3 (injection into anterior chamber of the eye) procedures were performed in 2016/17 & 2017/18 and what was the split between theatre & clinic?

1). Our Trust currently has 2 x clean rooms in the Ophthalmology unit.
2). We do not routinely record this information, to retrieve it would require a manual trawl of patient case notes which would exceed 18 hours. This information is therefore exempt on the grounds of cost (Section 12(1)).
3). I can confirm our Trust currently has 1 SLT machine.
We do not routinely record the number of procedures performed using SLT in a format that is easily accessible, to retrieve it would require a manual trawl of patient case notes which would exceed 18 hours. This information is therefore exempt on the grounds of cost (Section 12(1)).
4). Our Trust does not currently perform the C69.3 procedure (inject into the anterior chamber of the eye).
