How many Accident and Emergency admissions have been recorded as intentional self-harm (x84) as the chief complaint between August 2017- August 2018? 42 patients presenting at A&E who were also admitted to hospital were recorded as “self-harm” in A&E department. 2 patients admitted via A&E were coded on discharge as having “intentionally self-harmed by unspecified means” (X84).
780 patients admitted via A&E were coded on discharge as having intentionally self-harmed (X60 – X84).
