Response
  1. We can confirm in the six months between December 2017 and May 2018 (inclusive), the trust made applications to the Home Office for Tier 2 (General) Certificates of Sponsorship (CoS) for doctors to work in the trust.
    1. December 2017 – 11
    2. January 2018 – 15
    3. February 2018 – 10
    4. March 2018 – 18
    5. April 2018 – 9
    6. May 2018 – 13
    1. December 2017 – 7
    2. January 2018 – 10
    3. February 2018 – 7
    4. March 2018 – 3
    5. April 2018 – 2
    6. May 2018 – 8
  2. Our Trust is unable to supply an exact figure, however we would estimate the administration cost for each refusal including the time of the medical staff carrying out the interviews etc would be £470 per doctor. The associated agency fees of covering each vacancy refused would be approximately £30 per hour above the cost of a substantive doctor.
