a) The department/ward the noise-related complaint refers to
b) Who made the complaint (patient/relative/staff member etc)
c) The nature of the complaint – i.e. if it is noise from staff, noise from another patient, equipment, building work etc
3. I would also to know if your organisation has a noise policy or any noise-reduction measures in place – for example soft-closing doors, not transferring patients at night, ‘sleep kits’ for patients and so on.

We do not have soft closing doors as such.
We do not have a specific noise policy however when possible we would not transfer patients between departments or areas at night time unless there is a clinical need to do so. We would also avoid use of any equipment overnight that may create a disturbance.
We do not have sleep kits available however some of our clinical areas have used eye masks previously.
