How many car parks out of the total number designated for hospital patients/visitors offer free parking, as of your most up-to-date statistics? (please state how many and out of the total)
- If you charge fees for hospital patients/visitor designated parking, do you have the same pricing structure at all your parking sites? (Yes/No)

There are 2 hospitals, Blackpool and Clifton under the umbrella of Blackpool Teaching Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust where car parking is managed
- No free parking at either hospital ( other than disabled / concessionary permits- see below)
- The pricing structure is different at each of these hospitals however the prices will be brought in line imminently
- The most commonly charged minimum charge is £2.50 for 0-2 hours
- The most commonly charged maximum rate is £6 for up to 6-24 hours parking
- 20% allow payment by credit / debit card
We are currently looking at the feasibility of adding the credit/debit card facility on the pay and display car parks
3 car parks at Blackpool 1 at Clifton hospital
The main car park at Blackpool allows payment by debit credit card , total car park spaces 489
Total number of car parking spaces on other car parks 199, Blackpool 138 Clifton 61
- 20% allow payment on exit

- A parent/guardian or carer of a child who is an inpatient at the hospital will receive a subsidised parking rate of £3.00 per day for the first 2 weeks (tariff rate £6.00 ) thereafter free parking
- One Relative or Carer of a patient who has been in hospital for 2 weeks will be offered free parking
- Haematology/Oncology patients who are undergoing regular treatment will receive free parking
- Relatives/Carers of patients who are at end of life are offered up to 3 free parking permits for a period of 7 days at a time
- One Relative or Carer of a Critically or Terminally ill Patient
- Free parking for blue badge holders if parked in a designated disable space
