- Response
- £0.70 for the first tariff banding. However, for information the full tariff bandings are provided below as the calculation varies accordingly.
0 – 2 hours £1.40
2 – 3 hours £1.90
3 – 6 hours £2.30
6 – 24 hours £5.50
Please note that this banding tariff was in operation from 1st April 2015 to 31st March 2016. There has been a subsequent increase but this was not in place in prior financial years for which the information is requested.

- Reduced parking at a fee of £3 per day for parents of a child in hospital for the first two weeks of their stay and free thereafter
- Free parking for Haematology/Oncology undergoing regular treatment/ appointments
- Free parking for a carer or relative of a patient who has been in hospital for over two weeks
- Free parking for disabled drivers if parked in a designated disabled parking bay
- Patients who are receiving benefits may reclaim their travel expenses through the NHS Healthcare Travel Costs Scheme
