From the 1st January 2015 up to and including the 31st December 2015;
1 – How many people were treated in your Accident and Emergency Department for issues relating to the taking of novel psychoactive substances (aka Legal high’s)?
2 – What are the age and sexes of those treated?
3 – What was the age and sex of the youngest patient?
4 – What was the age and sex of the oldest patient?
5 – What is the average cost of treating patients who have taken novel psychoactive substances (Legal high’s)?

We are unable to provide this information because we do not routinely record the state of intoxication of the patient on presentation. We have a number of presenting complaints that could be indicative of drink or drugs e.g. apparently drunk, behaving strangely etc. however these are not conclusive.
