Anticoagulant Dosing and Advisory Service (ADAS)

ANTICOAGULANT DOSING AND ADVISORY SERVICE (ADAS) DURING COVID-19

The Anticoagulant Dosing and Advisory Service are continuing to provide a full monitoring service for all patients across the Fylde coast currently taking an anticoagulant.

Blackpool Teaching Hospitals has initiated a drive-through Anticoagulation monitoring service to help the mobile patients with underlying health conditions and those over 70 years of age who have been advised to self-isolate. During the current climate it is vital that these tests are performed as safely as possible to patients who have had their lifestyles completely altered.

We aim to reduce infection risk by lowering the footfall in the community clinics and provide a safe and easily accessible service. During the current Covid-19 pandemic, it is essential we observe the rules on social distancing and the use of a drive through service in addition to the community clinics enables us to do this.
