Come and join in the Great BVH Bake Off!

As part of our flu campaign, we are holding a staff baking competition!

Entries need to reflect our latest flu video – click here for a reminder: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=bxFn9YTrf7U

For example, biscuits decorated with the flu bug, naming an item such as flapjabs, baking a cake in the shape of a syringe or maybe decorating cakes with red glitter or black feathers as worn by the stars of the video. ALL ENTRIES MUST HAVE BEEN DECORATED BY THE ENTRANTS.

Immediately after judging, we are asking that all entries then be donated to Blue Skies Hospitals Fund who will be on hand to sell them to raise funds for the charity. Staff, patients and the public can come along and buy some fabulous creations!

The girls from Occupational Health will also be on the mezzanine from 11.30, giving flu jabs to any staff that have not already had one.

Tables will be set up on the mezzanine from around 8.30am on Monday November 28, so entries can be dropped off. Judging will begin at 11.00am.

Our Bake Off judges will be looking for originality, presentation and taste. Judges include Cheryl, proprietor of leading cake company, Too Nice To Slice.

The first prize is an evening cake decorating/sugar craft course by http://www.toonicetoslice.info/, which are held in Blackpool. The course place will be next year, date TBC.

First, second and third places will receive certificates and all entries will receive a digital image of their creation. All entrants need to register by 5pm, Wednesday November 23, by emailing  Alma.Stewart@bfwhospitals.nhs.uk.
