CLIFTON Hospital has received some very special praise from St Annes town hall.

Mayor and Mayoress of Fylde, Councillor John Singleton and Geraldine Singleton MBE, took the time to pen a letter of praise following a recent visit to the hospital.

The letter described each ward as “warm cosy and well maintained, but more importantly, the nurses and teams are constantly looking after patients’ needs.”

The Fylde’s first couple added: “It was a truly humbling experience to see how you and your staff take such great care with the patients.”

Clinical Matron, Courtney Bickerdike, said: “Both staff and patients enjoyed the Mayor’s visit at Christmas. I feel very proud of the team at Clifton and welcome such positive comments.”

Clifton Ward 2 Manager, Helena Palin, said: “The letter was lovely to receive. When everyone is under so much pressure it is reassuring and pleasing to have positive feedback from a visitor’s perspective”.
