Chocolate donation fits the bill

MEMBERS of the Blackpool and Fylde Police Cadets were welcome visitors to the Children’s Ward at Blackpool Victoria Hospital.

The Cadets visited to hand over Easter eggs that they donated themselves to give to young people who may be unfortunate enough to be in hospital over the Easter period.

Diane Baldwin, who oversees the Cadet programme, said: “We asked the group if they would like to collect Easter eggs and their response was fantastic.

“They donated more than 90 eggs that were presented to Trinity Hospice and the children’s ward and we are really proud of them.’’

Sue Cawley, Ward Manager for the Children’s Ward, said: “We are always really grateful to anyone who thinks of us and makes any sort of donation.

“The eggs will definitely put a smile on the faces of our young patients.’’
