The child development team works with children from birth to school age who may have special needs. They work as a multi-disciplinary team and are involved with many different services to assess and provide the right help for children and their family.
The child development team is a group of professionals offering assessment and ongoing support for children with emerging developmental problems, complex and additional needs.
The team works with families to assess each child carefully and make joint plans to help children reach their potential. This service is for pre-school children with supported transition to school age services if and when required. Assessments take place during normal working hours in a range of venues, including the child’s home, nursery, clinic and hospital setting.
