Charity seeks ‘’elfie’’ fun run turn out

A FYLDE coast charity is calling on Santa’s helpers to participate in its first ever Elf Run.

Blue Skies Hospitals Fund, the charity for Blackpool Teaching Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust, is organising a festive 4.5 Km run around Heron’s Reach, Blackpool, in the run-up to Christmas.

The event that combines fun with fitness is perfect for the whole family.

It will be held on Sunday 25th November. Registration opens at 12:15pm and race starts at 1pm from the top of Woodside Drive, Blackpool.

Entry fee is £10 for adults, £5 for children, £25 for family of four, £40 for group of five. This includes an elf hat (subject to availability) and a medal at the finish line for participants.

To spread the festive cheer, the charity is asking participants to turn up in their favourite elf costume.

Kila Redfearn, Head of Fundraising for Blue Skies, said: “We are so excited and hope to see a big turnout for this fabulous event being held in association with the ‘National Elf Service’ and ‘The Elfier Workforce’.

“Whether you run, jog or jingle all the way, we will really appreciate your help in raising funds that will enhance patient care hospitals in Blackpool, Fylde and Wyre.”

If you would like to participate, please contact the charity on 01253 957904 or email blueskies@bfwh.nhs.uk.
