Last year, one of our teen raisers Jacob, completed his first MASSIVE fundraising challenge.
Raising more than £2200 for the Neonatal Unit at Blackpool Teaching Hospitals by completing 100 holes In a day at Poulton Golf Club, where he is Junior Captain.
This year, Jacob is back at it again, completing 126 holes in a day! With a 4am start and some donated LED golf balls, he went between Knott End Golf Club and Poulton Golf Club to complete his challenge.
Thanks to his dedication & the support he received, (and his wonderful mum, Gillian, who drives him to all of his golf events) he was able to raise an incredible £1600.65 for the CAMHS Department.
CAMHS are the child and adolescent mental health service for Blackpool who accept referrals for children and young people up to the age of 18 that are experiencing moderate to severe mental health problems.
“I’m dedicated to playing golf and find no better feeling than raising money for a local charity such as Blue Skies. I like being able to help others get the best treatment or people who may be finding things difficult, due to their illness, be it physical or mental.
I consider myself lucky enough to be able to do this in everyday life.”
Jacob’s mum, Gillian commented “I’m so proud of Jacob for giving up his spare time raising money for Blue Skies and caring about others.”
