A memorial gift is a very special way to remember a loved one and may bring some comfort to their friends and family at a time of immense sadness. As with any donation to Blue Skies, you can choose to support a particular hospital, department or ward, or make a general donation.
Please consider adding Gift Aid to your donation. Gift Aid allows us to reclaim the tax on your donation, as long as you are a UK tax payer, meaning we will receive an additional 25p on every £1 you donate – and it won’t cost you a penny more! We can also claim Gift Aid on any donations you have made to us over the last four years.
Asking friends and loved ones to donate at a funeral can be a lasting way of remembering those who are sadly no longer with us, and can help a person live on through the gift of giving.
To collect donations in lieu of flowers, we can provide donation envelopes which are usually collected and forwarded to us by the Funeral Director on your behalf. If you would like to use our donation envelopes, please contact us and we will send a quantity directly to the Funeral Director.
Using a donation envelope allows us to claim Gift Aid, meaning your donation could be worth 25% more.
We also have in memory keepsakes which your friends and family may like to take away from a funeral in memory of a lost loved one. To view our range of keepsakes, click here.
If you would like to request donation envelopes, please contact us on 01253 957904.
Please specify who the donation is in memory of, what your relationship was to them, and indicate which hospital, department or ward you would like to support.
Setting up a tribute fund is a lasting way to remember someone special. You can create a secure fund online through our JustGiving page, which you can use to set up a dedicated memorial page and enable family and friends to make instant donations. Donors can also leave messages of support and share memories on your page.
By using JustGiving you can be assured that all your donations will come straight to Blue Skies Hospitals Fund. If you have chosen to support a particular hospital, ward or department be sure to include this in the description on your page, and we will direct your donations accordingly. All the money raised in your loved ones memory is displayed on the page, so you know exactly how much of a difference you are making.
Using JustGiving also allows you to link to any fundraising events which are taking place in memory of your loved one, and you can share your page using social media to encourage others to give in memory.
