Become a Blue Skies Volunteer

We are grateful for all the support our donors give, whether it’s a one off donation, regular giving or multiple fundraising events which allow us to plan with confidence for future projects and developments.

We are lucky to have dedicated Blue Skies Volunteers, who regularly hold events to raise money to help us enhance patient care and spread the word about what they do, why they do it and how patients benefit.

Our Blue Skies Volunteers do amazing work in their communities, and are looking for others to join them.

Our Volunteers help in a number of ways, from assisting at pre-organised charity events, inspiring others to run events in support of the charity, distributing Blue Skies publications and information, or collecting and distributing charity collection boxes in the community.

Volunteer Fundraisers are needed at various times throughout the year. Though there in no minimum requirement, we do require a flexible commitment.

This is a great chance for the community to get involved with their local hospital charity, helping to support enhanced care to patients across Blackpool, Fylde and Wyre, and beyond.

As part of the recruitment process, we are required to seek Disclosure and Barring Services clearance (DBS) on all volunteers who, in the course of their normal duties, have access with children and/or vulnerable adults.

You may also be required to complete a work health assessment from the Occupational Health Department whose aim it is to promote and maintain the health of all people. Before health clearance is given for volunteering you may be contacted by the Occupational Health team and may need to be seen by an Occupational Health Advisor or physician. You may be asked to have a vaccination/s if required.
