Bike Month Challenge – 1st-30th June 2019

This June we’re teaming up with Cycling UK to celebrate everyday cycling for everyone – and you’re invited to experience the freedom of two wheels and help others to discover the joys and benefits of cycling.

Cycling is fun, (almost) free, easy and it’s good for you: people who ride to work are far less likely to suffer from cancer or heart disease and if more people get around by bike our air will be cleaner, saving lives and making our towns and cities greener and more liveable.

The themes this year is #7DaysofCycling and #ThrivewithBTH.

We are encouraging staff to try and ride a minimum of seven times during June (1st-30th June 2019).  There are no rules on what counts as one of your seven – from riding to work, riding in the evening, to cycling to the shops or joining a cycle club.

What to do next;

  1. Register here to keep a track on your progress and to be in for a chance to win prizes. Remember to register under your workplace; Blackpool Teaching Hospitals NHS Trust.
  2. Share a photo, video or story about your experience via social media on Facebook or Twitter, using the #7DaysofCycling and #ThrivewithBTH.
