Sign Up To Safety (SUTS) is a national campaign and unified programme for patient safety across the NHS in England.
The aim of the programme is to reduce avoidable harm by half and save 6000 lives over the next 3 years, and to sustain the improvement over the following 3 years, whilst continuing the focus and drive on safety improvements.
We are committed to delivering consistently safe care and to take action to reduce harm to patients in our care and protecting the most vulnerable.
The campaign is part of a wider Patient Safety Programme as detailed below.
As a Trust we have made 5 key safety pledges and will be working with CCGs (Clinical Commissioning Groups), AHSNs (Academic Health Science Networks), Health Foundation, NHS England and regulatory bodies to develop and embed safety initiatives to improve patient outcome and experience.
Below are the areas of focus for Blackpool Teaching Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust:
Our aim is to reduce avoidable harm in these areas and sustain improvements over the next three years.
