Welcome to Blackpool Teaching Hospital's five-year strategy 2022-2027

Blackpool Teaching Hospitals’ new five-year strategy set out the new direction for us as an organisation to improve the lives of people who live, work and volunteer on the Fylde Coast and beyond.

The strategy was drawn up after consultation with a wide range of groups from across the local community – including children and young people, patients, staff, carers, governors and key partners.

It includes a range of priorities that will support us to make a real difference in our communities and beyond, these include growing our workforce, making healthcare more equal to all, improving our impact on the environment and promoting new ways of working.

Through this page you can read the strategy in full and access other useful resources to help you learn more about how we will change between 2022 and 2027.

Summary - Who did we engage with?

We would like to say a massive thank you to our Staff, Patients, Carers, Governors and External Stakeholders, as without their engagement we wouldn’t have been able to develop our 5 – year strategy. We had a number of different engagement events with Staff, Patients and Stakeholders where they were able to have their say on how they think the direction of travel for the trust should go, by having discussions with service leads and filling in a number of polls which we found extremely beneficial when coming to work up the Trust Strategy.
