Would you like to join our Influence Panel?

Leanne Macefield with an application form for the Patient Influence Panel

Are you interested in improving health care at your local hospital? Can you work effectively with other people? Would you be happy to share your experiences of our services?

If the answer is yes to all of the above, we would like to hear from you!

The purpose of the Influence Panel is to create a patient voice through building constructive working relationships with service users to ensure a broad range of patient views are reflected in practice development and operations.

The panel is not a forum for individual complaints and single issues, panel members are also not to be contacted directly by members of the public about any issues regarding treatment.

Members of the panel would be asked to attend monthly meetings and to work concurrently with other patient and public involvement groups so that patients and carers are able to contribute and have an influence, at all possible stages of organisational development and quality improvement.

Patient Experience and Involvement Manager, Leanne Macefield, said: “The Influence Panel is a great opportunity for both patients and staff to work in partnership to shape the future of the hospital.

“It allows staff at the Trust to work with the patients for the best outcomes.

“It’s also a fantastic opportunity for members of the public to get involved and bring a positive voice.

“If this sounds like something that would interest you, please get in touch. I’m looking forward to hearing from you.”
