Trust appoints new non-executive director

The Trust is pleased to announce the appointment of Mary Whyman MBE as a Non-Executive Director.

Mary has been appointed to replace Michele Ibbs and has a broad range of experience that will successfully support the vision and values of the Trust.

Mary, who worked as Assistant Chief Officer for the Lancashire Probation Service for a number of years, has recently served as Chairman of the North West Ambulance Service NHS Trust.

Mary is currently a Trustee and Vice Chair of Parkinson’s UK and a school governor at Singleton CE Primary School.

She knows the local health economy well as she was previously a Non-Executive Director with the former Wyre Primary Care NHS Trust.

She has extensive knowledge of the NHS and other public sector organisations and also has valuable experience at board level to deal with a wide range of issues.

Mary said: “I am thrilled and extremely enthusiastic about joining the Board of Directors at the Trust and look forward to starting my role.’’

Trust Chairman, Ian Johnson, said: “I would like to welcome Mary to the Board of Directors at the Trust and I look forward to working with her. She will add valuable experience to the board and help us progress in the future.’’

The term of office is from December 1, 2016, to November 30,
2019.
